FINDING INNER BALANCE THROUGH LOVE!

Anime-image-anime-36425632-2560-1600

How to cultivate a healthy mind?

A healthy individual whose mind is healthy and sane is capable of looking at himself without judgment, criticism, and without listening to others. When the essence of your mind is pure and healthy, it is fully connected to the source and you are fully connected to your self.

This brings the mind and the individual in a place of health, compassion and spirituality. Compassion is the fruit of perfect health and a peaceful inner life. Logic has no compassion but compassion can use logic. Logic has no wisdom but wisdom could use compassion. We need logic and we need intellect. We also need love and compassion. According to Ayurveda, we must use our intellect and our knowledge with love. Ayurveda is the science of love, intuition and intellect. To have a healthy mindful essence, a person must maintain a balance between the physical realm and the spiritual realm. Why be present on the earth if you simply want to be spirit. Connecting with your mind, body and spirit is the base of Ayurveda and the base of enjoying our lives as human beings.

There are tools to achieve a feeling of balance and inner peace no matter what is happening in your life. Practicing self-love will bring you into a state of love and bliss, which is your true nature. The molecules of bliss will start flowing into your body and into your life. Love is profound because it has its roots in the universe and its fruit in the heart of every human being. When your heart, love and the intellect merge. You allow your true self to bloom like a flower.

Learn who you are. Learn not to imitate other’s, imitation is a lie and it is going against your true nature. Let go of expectations and self-judgment! When we begin allowing our true nature to come out and shine bright like a diamond with all our faults and all of our qualities, we become whole! To know happiness, is to know sadness, to know sadness allows us to experience happiness. In other words, our duality is a gift, we would not have our qualities if we did not have our faults. Always remember that everyone in this world is not perfect, even a Saint.

This to me is true beauty, beauty is simply a perception. We need to unlearn what we have learned to grow in life. Our race to perfection creates great discomfort because it goes agains all the rules and laws of nature and the universe. We must unlearn what we perceive as perfection, this will create space in our minds and in our hearts to be the perfect-self that we are with all of our beautiful imperfections. Learn to take all the good with all the bad. This is living in humbleness and truth.

Live you life! When death comes you will be happy to not have lived YOUR LIFE for others. As long as the intentions are good and you are not hurting anyone! Strive and never be afraid of change, never be afraid of fear. We our the heroes in our own lives and a hero is not someone who does not feel fear but surpasses fear by facing it.

Self-love is the key to a healthy mind. Observe your mind and when negative thinking comes up, allow a space and fill this space with compassion towards yourself. Your are not the mind, your are not your thoughts and you are not this body. Take the thoughts from the mind and filter them threw your heart. The heart is the root of all unconditional love. Ask the pain or the anger, the emotion your are feeling and transform it into love and knowledge. Life is a flow of energy and if the flow is present between your mind and your heart, unconditional love will poor out and a deep feeling of inner balance will become your inner world.

AUTOBIOGRAPHIE OF A YOGI! YOGANANDA

paramahansa-yogananda

Hello fellow friends.

I’ve started reading “The Autobiography of a Yogi” in French, so this is my personal translation of a chapter that has awakened beautiful sensation’s in my heart. Simple and subtle quotes from ancient Indian Guru’s.

“There is a time for everything and everything under the stars has it’s time.”

“The source is simple, everything else is complicated. Do not search for the absolute in the relative values of nature.”

“The external fight on the battle field with our enemies grow pale and insignificant when we start our inner battle with our inner enemies. These are not mortal adversaries that can fall from a reign of aggressive power. These omnipresent soldiers that have ignorant desires, that never seem to rest, they chase a man even in his dreams. They are subtlety equipped with a toxic vapor that is in search to kill us. The man who lay to rest and buried his idea’s to follow a common destiny is unthinking.”

“The inner search will not delay to expose the true unity that is present in every human spirit.”

“Only the superficial man loses his capacity to answer with compassion to the burdens present in others lives. While he sombre’s in the narrow suffering of his own life.”

ANXIETY AND AYURVEDA

IS.33-2006 Painting Vishnu as Vishvarupa (cosmic or universal man); Vishnu as Cosmic man, watercolour on paper, early 19th century, Jaipur. Jaipur Ca. 1800-1820 Watercolour on paper

Since I began doing consultations as an Ayurvedic practitioner,

I’ve noticed one common element in which 4 of out 5 patients seem to all have in common. They all seem to be suffering from anxiety, anxiety disorders and panic attacks. Common symptoms in Ayurveda are: tremors, uncontrollable thoughts, spasms, difficulty breathing, heart palpitations, a feeling of emptiness, every sound seems more intense and people feel very sensitive to energy. It’s as tho they have become a sponge for all the energy in the world.

We already have enough to deal with our own lives and our own health, it becomes even more difficult to feel everything, sound, sight, touch, energy, like a waterfall of bricks falling over you.

It becomes harder to go to work, to go do groceries and to even see friends for some of us. We slowly start allowing our fear to manage our life by avoiding mundane habits and social settings that we usually thrived in and enjoyed. Everything is taken more personally, we feel as tho everyone is looking at us and judging us. It can even become difficult to eat in front of other’s or to simply say hello to our best friends. Depending on the type of anxiety level you have or the type of anxiety you developed.

In Ayurveda this is called a Vata unbalance. It can be triggered by many things. A post traumatic stress that was not dealt with or noticed, a heartbreak, a burn out. To many ignored emotion’s kept inside which created a blockage of your energy from circulating properly, everything becomes stuck.

Sometime’s the thoughts are so uncontrollable and negative that we would love to cut our heads off to calm the noise and to simply stop feeling and living in a constant state of fear. The hardest thing is to have the knowledge and the logic to know that we have no reason to be fearful but the fear is still present.

It feels like some fear mongering monster has taken over your brain and your body, reacting with different manifestation’s of fear and not even knowing why? For me this was the hardest thing.

In ayurveda Vata is considered the dosha air and space. Air and space are beautiful, they connect with creativity, communication, fluidity, being open to change, feeling like a social butterfly, joy, clarity and so many other wonderful gifts. Vata is also responsible for physical movement, movement of thoughts, feelings and nerve impulses, movement of the organs for ingestion to assimilate and absorption of nutrients. Vata governs the mind, sensory perception, motor functions; including speech and muscular coordination.

When there is to much Vata, we are drying out our nervous system which is one of the primary sites of Vata. The colon is a primary site of Vata as well and when there is derangement we tend to become constipated, the mucus membrane diminishes. We have difficulty focusing or have difficulty sleeping and feel a sense of breathlessness when we feel anxious. My personal experience was feeling my heart and my chest cramped up with difficulty breathing from morning until night. This was constant anxiety and don’t get me started on my panic attacks :).

As someone who has suffered from anxiety, it was a relief to know that I was not the only one. That this seems like an epidemic, to my 50 year old male clients, to my 22 year old female clients. There is a consistency going on with the way people are responding to stress and their environment in our society.  Everyone is different and has a different body type. I will give you general information to bring you back into balance. Things that I practice everyday or almost everyday :).

Pranayama was a great help to me, the practice of Aloma Veloma, alternate nostril breathing and Kapalabhati, shinning skull. Do not practice these exercises with breath retention since the goal is to push the air out of the body not hold more in. These exercises are going to re-build your gray matter in the brain and your white coating of myelin sheath; white coating around your brain.

To put it in a simple way, are nervous system in our brain is like a room full of electrical wires all plugged into each other. Vata dry’s out the matter, the protection surrounding the electrical cord. When this is gone, you lose control of your nervous system and it’s natural functions.

Fight or flight a natural instinct for survival becomes very sensitive and the brain gets confused and feels the urge to flight.

Be mindful of not watching to many action or horror movies. Try taking in healthy impressions, being receptive to positive things and going for silent walks in nature to breath and ground yourself. The brain is primarily a Vata organ and there are factors that damage the brain and strips it from it’s cerebrospinal fluid. Excessive sensory stimulation, too much thought, too much worry, stimulants like coffee, sugar and drugs. A derangement in the brain will manifest as; insomnia, poor motor function and sensory function, spasms, tremors.

Yoga: Very soft and slow yoga, grounding poses and heart opening poses. Try to practice with your eyes closed and soft music alone. Be very soft and gently with yourself. When you do heart opening exercises try to exhale deeply. If you feel like letting out an animalistic noise, go for it. This is expelling the extra air and the negative emotions that need to move out of your body and your mind! Developed a harmonious routine, practice letting go and end the day with a beautiful gift to yourself of an Abyanga! Self-Massage!! Almond oil in my teachings and apricot oil is fine for all body types. The smell of jasmine, rose and sandalwood is soft and bring up emotion’s of love, softness and relaxation 1 or 2 drops is enough, essential oils are very concentrated and you do not want to put to much. Sometime’s less is more. Apply the base all over your body and simply send yourself love and be present. You can apply oil in your nose, your ears, under you feet and deeply massage your head with circular motions to help the nervous system replenish itself.

Slowly slowly sleep will become better, cultivating relaxation is an art. We are in a world where everyone is over stimulated. Try to turn your cell phone off before bed and take your time before you open it in the morning. Sing and allow your energy to flow, cultivate presence and mindfulness. Enjoy your LIFE! Not everyone else’s threw a screen. Moderation in anything in life is the key.

Allow yourself to listen to soft music and simply chill 1 hour before bed. Without constant television and stimulation, just be in your body and be in your thoughts. If you are not connected to yourself, no one can do it for you. These are the tools and if you practice for 1 week, you will already feel a difference.

Do not push to hard and listen to yourself. If you need to stay home because of a long stressful day at work. Stay home, there will be many more occasions to go out but your health is priority. When you have your health the rest will come.

Last but not least 2 magical herbs for every body-type,ashwaganda andtriphala.

PEOPLE ARE STRANGE, WHEN YOUR A STRANGER!

A21_1

I need to feel some kind of commitment and action on your end. Not simply words and idea’s. Words and idea’s are great but if there is no action taken. How do you manifest anything. Doing what you love will it will lead you to where you want to be.

I feel you put to much of what you love on the back burner and you seem to always have a reason. I want you to focus more on what you love. If you tell me something, you can be a bit late, I’m not anal. But the avoidance consistency is draining me  and it must be draining you. Maybe you don’t feel you deserve to put energy in things you love. I don’t know?? But to me this has kept me grounded and sane! Try to keep your word, try to give the respect you would like to receive yourself in your communication skills instead of avoiding. Avoiding creates a void between us.

screaming is not hearing each other and at the end of every day I want to laugh and smile and be cool but be real about the check list of life!

The more I don’t give a shit about the computer or the phone or the digital furniture. The more my life seems interesting, the more I feel grounded because I am not overly stimulated. My stimulation is sometimes like a child? Very basic, connecting with my sense and feeling the simplicity of life. Fiouf!

Okay my fellow friends! Let’s share a funny video,

PEOPLE ARE STRANGE, WHEN YOUR A STRANGER!

I just wanna say, thank-god for KIND people in this world because they do make a big difference!!!

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE STARTS FROM WITHIN!

What does healthy love mean?

Health is not the absence of disease, we all go in and out of balance like nature. Connecting with your mind, your body and your spirit is giving yourself a gift. Why are we so graceful and nice with others and we do not give ourselves the same unconditional love and grace? If you can take care of others, you can very well take care of yourself in all the same ways? If you nourish yourself, this is the most powerful energy you can connect with. Your energy towards yourself is the most powerful since you are unique and no one knows you how you know yourself!  Knowing yourself takes a life but we can be connected with our divine self by embracing our uniqueness and our constant evolving self.

What I love about life is the journey, we are very fluid beings and we all are constantly in evolution changing forms with whatever knowledge and life lessons we gain on our path. We constantly absorb things but we forget we need to empty what is no longer needed. Keep what you love, remember what you love, focus your perception on the beautiful. Look at the hurt but always know that hurt is a perception. Mental pain is so much stronger than physical pain but we can work to rise from our ashes. We will live many things in life and re-birth is beautiful. It is like growing a second spine. Always remember that every experience you live, you decided to live this experience for a reason. What is that reason? Only you know and you do not need to explain this to anyone because this is your life and your learning experience This is growth!

One of my great friends told me: What brings negativity in your life, LET IT GO! It can be a friendship, a relationship, a job, whatever… We are all so afraid to let go. Time is precious, life is short and we need to feed ourselves everyday in every way we can! If we feel full, we can give more to other’s and we feel the connection and anchored in ourselves. The more anchored and grounded you are the higher you can go. Letting go scared me at first but things come back, friendships come back and they come back in a more beautiful way. Go where you are appreciated!!! ( Like my previous post!)

Love is space and sometimes we love so much that we feel compelled to give, give and give without receiving. Or we feel compelled to control. Let go! Love is Space!!! Love has no expectation, love is unconditional, love is detachment, love is allowing the other to be who they are and where they are. This is unconditional love, the most precious gift you can give yourself and others.

If you give, make sure that you are giving with your entire heart. If one once of your heart does not feel life-giving, is it really giving? Listen to that internal voice because it is there for a reason. It is there to honour yourself! We all have our gifts and if you are truly giving with all your heart, which is the real way to give. If you give do not expect, do not have expectation. Give for the pure joy of giving! The universe will always give back. It will not give you always what you want but from my experience it gives you what you need. Everything comes back but not from the person you expect or not from the source you expect. That is the beauty of life! Let go and allow all the space in yourself for love and everything else you desire from life. We are living an adventure!! Enjoy! Ride the tiger! When your up be grateful and when your down, know you will have even more strength and knowledge to climb your next mountain! Conquer!!!

Sending you all love my free spirits!!!
